Allow me to propose a toast (together with my man DJ Power), to (the good) life and all my good friends and family (especially my girlfriend, who is the bestest in the whole world). So the last couple of weeks have been life changing for me. Basically, on a personal note, I got a huge wake up call, which forced me to switch my life around. This meant that I closed the door (and locked it and swallowed the key) on alot of previous frustrations and worries and decided, hard as it may be, only on the good things in life and what actually means something to me. Therefore, I also had to chill a bit with the music making and my ambitions (hence no updates on this page in a while). I had a 1 month hiatus from the studio – which has felt very weird. Knowing myself, I’ll probably put it in a song, haha. But now I’m “back” – feeling better than I have for almost a year and ready to put in work and do fun stuff with new people. This new way of thinking, also lead me to sign a management deal – in order to get some things done and also, for me to focus mostly on making the music. I thought, what do I have to lose?
My new manager is called Nis Bøgvad, one half of the famous group called “Back 2 back”, and now runs a company called Kyoto management. One day, while I was working in my studio, he was outside in the hall, and popped in his head and said that he really liked what I was working on. So we started talking and we decided to try to bring FredNukes to the masses – together. So now – we are starting the process of trying to shop 2 new singles I’ve done. Mostly setting up meetings with major labels, but also some independent bigger labels. So hopefully this relationship will be fruitful! Let’s do this Nis!
In other news, I’m trying to put together a track with 2 of my favorite emcees and one of my favorite producers. (Hint I kinda wrote about the emcees in my “Fred recommends” category – so do the math). If this track happens, it will without a doubt be the biggest track I have ever done. I like to refer to this track as “the best from both coasts”. Although I’m eager to get started on this, it will probably have to wait until early 2010 before the calendars match up. We’ll have to wait and see.
Also, still doing things with my man Little Vic. I sent him a killer beat not too long ago, which I hope he will rip in the near future! He also sent me a couple of new beats, which are amazing – I am currently vibing to them and seeing if I can conjure up some dope shit for them! That’s all for now – I am looking forward to the next couple of weeks, which will be filled with good times, lot’s of alchohol, concerts (going to see Air – one of my favorite groups), music and theatre. Your boy, Fred.
