Mads Viktor

If you have followed my blog for some time, you would have been able to read about my secret new projects. Today, I am unveiling one of them. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am proud to present to you: Mads Viktor. The producer/rapper previously known as “Fantomet” and as a MC’s Fight Night champion is working on his debut album, which I will be executive producing. I was blown away by this guy, when he played me a couple of demo’s, which he made at home and I instantly offered him my services. Together we are handling all the production – and so far we have made about 3-4 demo finished demo’s for the album. We have a long way to go, but I am sure that this will be a groundbreaking, fresh breath of air onto the Danish music scene (not just hip hop). To keep you guys updated, you can follow www.madsviktor.dk – which will feature movie footage, pictures and freestyles from our studio sessions! What are you waiting for? Go there now
Working working

Spring time has finally arrived! I’m feeling good and staying productive with alot of new projects and people to work with. First of all, I have been using alot of my time trying to finish up 2-3 singles for my side-project (which is actually my main project right now). As we speak (or in reality, as I type) the first single is being mixed and getting ready to sent to different labels. I already have somewhat of a loose deal with a label, but they are waiting for the final mix. So the next week so be exciting, I hope to get a good deal. The name of this project is secret – mainly due to the fact that I couldn’t decide on it, so I’m still not 100 % sure. But almost
The reason why I chose to do a seperate project, is that the tracks are a bit too different and commercially accessible as opposed to what FredNukes usually sounds like. I had alot of conflicts inside, where I discussed with myself whether or not to put the songs out in my own name or come up with a new “group” name. As you can see, the latter won.
I reckon, I have about 5 album tracks for the new FredNukes album, but I keep scrapping some of the older tracks – as I can feel myself getting better all the time. This is a process I don’t want to rush, as I want this album to be a classic and a worthy (much better) follow-up to “Deconstructing Fred”.
I am also working on tracks for different artists and really putting in work on the beats, for instance, adding live instrumentation (the picture shows Mr.Marcus playing guitar on one of my tracks in the A-studio of our studio complex). I’m trying to branch out and do some stuff I usually don’t do. Speaking of which, I have recently joined forces with one incredibly talented young man, who shall remain unnamed until the time is right. I will be working as executive producer on his album and adding flavour and the old FredNukes touch to the record. I am sure, this album will change the sound and attitude of Danish Hip Hop. This will also be incredibly exciting for me, since this is the first time I’ll be doing such a project. Game-changing music. That’s my update – now, back to the music!
Fred and J.U.S.T.I.C.E League?

Time for a funny little anecdote. This other day, when I was sick in my bed (mind you, I have just been M.I.A for 10-12 days, because of a killer stomach flu – hence the lack of activity on my blog), my homie Adam Sampler sent me a message on facebook. It said something about that he had just discovered that J.U.S.T.I.C.E League had produced the track I did for Majik Most and Celph Titled (of The Demigodz) in 2006. Actually, I hadn’t paid any attention to the people that Celph Titled had gotten to play instruments on the track. But sure enough, when I looked at the credits inside the cover it said:
Just A Feelin’ 3:49
Bass, Guitar – J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League
Producer – FredNukes
Rap [Featuring] – Celph Titled
Scratches – DJ Skully
It’s always pretty dope to realize that you have actually already “worked” with some of the biggest names in the music industry. I mean, these guys did tracks for Young Buck, Young Jeezy, Toni Braxton, Mary J. Blige, Rick Ross and made one of my favorite anthems ever, “Maybach Music part 2″. In 2006, I had no idea who these guys were. But in 2010, they are the go-to guys in the industry for big tracks! Let’s hope this won’t be the “first and last” time. At this moment, I am actually already working on a track which will feature their newest artist (whom they signed), Laws. This track is gonna be so dope! Peace to Adam Sampler for the heads-up!
