I’ve wondered the same about Term… He’s very vanilla. There’s almost nothing to define him other than his blatant mediocracy. Isn’t his connection like he’s either signed a friend of Statik Selektah (I can’t spell his name right even if his album says so because he spells it like he’s retarded… not to say I dislike his music ).

As for Nas’s new album, its mediocre at best. His politics come off as sophomoric as you want to get behind it but he never completely commits and instead just throws out raps about how the haters don’t want to him shinin’. Yes, the hators, the game, the streets and then rapping that people want to assassinate him for bringing the truth!? C’mon Nas, that’s some stupid shit and you know it. If he wants to be revolutionary, he can’t half ass it so much on his lyrics and fall victim to hip hop cliches. I might give him more leeway if he showed up in a SaveDarfur shirt instead of a “N*****” shirt or at least took up some awareness campaign for a political cause. The high point is when he criticizes mass media by name, but other MCs have done this as well and better be it Immortal Technique, Mos Def or One.Be.Lo.

Its just like Can’t Forget About You, off Hip Hop is Dead. You want to get behind it, and he asks, “When’s the last time you heard a real anthem?” then follows it up with “Nas, the Millionaire, The Mansion”. Sure its a play off a Biggie quote but he can’t quite disconnect himself from his commercial side rapping about his jewelry. The fuck does his Mansion have to do with bringing a real anthem? Untitled reminds of the same problem. The most exciting track is the intro but never picks up, and has some truly sleepy tracks.

Untitled is just shows a lack of maturity to commit and run with his concepts as he presents a provocative concept but doesn’t capitalize on it.

Jeg skal se den i morgen, glæder mig. Jeg er en gamle X-Files fan, så det skal nok blive godt (på trods af dårlige anmeldelser…)

Jeg så den lørdag. X spiller okay, men de glemmer ham lidt til sidst. Filmen er fed nok, Mulder og Skully er onpoint men der mangler lidt aliens og en bedre historie.

Argh.. The problem with Termanology is that he spits stuff that might as well be made-up from his imagination. i don’t feel the way he delivers his messages - especially not wrapped in 40 syllable rhymes..

@ Aeberli: Den kan desværre ikke fås mere - men du kan derimod købe “Deconstructing Fred” i din nærmeste pladebiks - eller få dem til at bestille den hjem fra “GDC”.

@ PTA & Selina: Den sutter RØV - Den ville for meget og indfriede for lidt. Lortefilm.. Hvor helvede var mystikken og aliens? For meget naturvidenskab og forceret følelsesmæssige scener.
